Hello and Happy New Year!
I know it’s February already and rather late, but there has been a lot going on behind the scenes, which I can’t wait to share with you. If you‘ve been following my Instagram you may have already seen some snippets.
Creating The Nature Bug Club was something I had thought about for such a long time. I knew exactly what I wanted to create and how, ……. a community of fellow nature lovers, and a hub to provide resources to educate the next generation. It wasn’t about likes and followers, it was about connections and engaging with those who already had an interest in nature or who wanted to learn and get involved.
Just over a year later and I’m thrilled with how my little venture is going. I’ve connected with some great like minded accounts, have a new HQ, (yes, my love for books is strong!) and discovered some amazing small businesses, whose resources have been selected for their ethical and ecological values, which fit with our own. Some resources are from old favorites like the fabulous Nina at Hellion Toys https://instagram.com/helliontoys , but there are a lot of new ones coming too!
Hours of research, mountains of emails back and forth, a pile of jotters filled with notes, scribbles and drawings and finally so close to revealing what I’ve been up to. That said it‘s been a lot of fun discovering, testing and curating everything!
Our Collectible Badges and Kit Bags were the first things we launched last year and its been lovely to see the adventures your little ones have been having with them. This year we are expanding our range with the introduction of our new “Rewilding Kits’!
Unfortunately I’ll have to keep you in suspense for a little longer, (mean I know), but I can tell you that they will be launching at the beginning of March and will include some fabulous resources. If you keep your eyes on my Instagram stories and grid over the next few weeks you may just see some sneak previews of what’s coming!
